I think that pet is our family, and all those name you mentioned is just a lovely way we call them (Your best friend isn't your real bro either), we won't feel alone when they're around us. They accompanies us, sometimes more than a family member can do, because we are their only family member.

Not only pets but also beggars are our family. We don’t have to live in the one same home with beggars of course, but we must facilitate them to get their meal. Can you see beggars sitting outside the restaurant? Begging for left over food, the poor boy is waiting outside the restaurant. We must be concerned in that case. So, love your pets and the beggars near your house.
There is nothing more annoying than those people who call their pets their kids or themselves 'mommy' and 'daddy' to their pets. Their animals. Yes, we love them, but c'mon. Your dog doesn't get a new baby sister when you have a kid and crap like that.
