This would cause a clog in jail systems and cause they people who are not serious offenders to be with the serious offenders. Looking at jails this would not be advisable because non serious offenders will be in danger in the prisons i.e the money to build more jails is not available because the money needs to go into more serious and important things such as Heath care and education.
Accidental death of cats n dogs could be forgiven with less penalty but murdering cats n dogs on purpose should be heavily penalised. if murdering a human can give u a life sentencing or death penalty, then y should the murder of man's best friend be treated any differently.
The significance of an animals life is important i agree but the significance of a humans life isn't equal..therefore shouldn't have the same penalties..and besides people kill people everyday but not every murderer gets 50+ years for killing somebody some less than that.
