Okay, add specific quotations (like Isiah 1:12) When quoting thing please. Also, leviticus is a book of legislation, not moral law.
Pork is forbidden in the Bible, just as it is for the Muslims in the Quran.
And the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you. (Leviticus)
Those who sanctify and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one in the midst, eating pig's flesh and the abomination and mice, shall come to an end together, declares the Lord. (Isaiah)
And the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. (Romans)
There are many more quotes which say the same thing but obviously i cant put every single one from a book that is 600 pages long...
Jesus also said "Think not that i have come to abolish the laws of the prophets, i have come not to abolish but to fulfill" (cant remember the chapter or book but if you type it into google you will find it) so that shows that the rules of the old testament such as pork not being allowed still stand. He made it very clear that he didnt come to abolish (destroy) any old testament laws, but he came to fulfill, meaning add more, laws. Think of it logically, would it make sense for God to ban something and then unban it? Because logically speaking, the pig didnt start chewimg cud and its hooves didnt magically join up in the time that Jesus was alive so those conditions from the Old Testament still stand. The first quote says that you shall not even touch its carcass, so eating it would definitely be forbidden.
it takes a life time to truly understand it. and that's if ur lucky. it is very multilayered.
I gave up pork the moment i saw these videos------------
can you explain me the bible ? it went past my head.
The Old Testament, the bit before Jesus, forbids foods such as pork. However, in the New Testament, God says that no living creature is unclean, so you can eat it.
good question. I think we had something like this before and rogue pulled up a verse that Jesus said it doesn't matter. will try to find it
When do they eat pork in the Bible?
