The distinction is that aliens aren't necessarily all powerful, benevolent beings. If aliens didn't heal sick people, it could be because they are technologically advanced jerks who just couldn't be bothered to. It is also possible that, while their technology is advanced enough to travel between stars, their grasp of human physiology is not sufficient to cure any and all ailments.
That said, while I doubt we are alone in the universe, I have trouble believing that they are visiting us. The universe is large enough that if life happened once, it has likely happened elsewhere. The odds of there only being one planet in existence capable of sustainable life is vanishingly small. Earth is just one tiny planet among the stars though. So the odds of us being noticed and visited also seems very small. Finally, I can't imagine that any being capable of travelling between stars would spend the time, energy and resources to visit earth and rectally probe someone no one will believe. Unless they did it just because they are jerks and wanted to ruin someone's life, there is not reason for it.
If you hit agree afterwards it should switch your vote on his argument.
@maximus. I ment to hit "agree". I hit "disagree" sorry
maybe we should ask ALF or ET?
Maybe the aliens you believe in instead would heal the child?
So, does that mean that parents that pray the disease their child has is up to god. If so, gods a shit doctor because this happens alot.
I like this.
