Only Escort services and Brothels should be legal.
If prostitution were legalized, in those forms, the U.S. would receive about 20 billion dollars in taxes, prostitutes would be safer from sex trafficking, both clients and employees would be safer from STDs because both would be required to record if they have one and failing to inform a sexual partner of an STD is already a crime. Employees would be more likely to report assault because they would no longer fear prosecution. Need I go on?
With legalization of prostitution a plethora of morality issues will accompany it. What kind of example would that set for children basically saying it's okay to be promiscuous as adults, the spread of STDs would move like wildfire and there will be an unfair bias with implication that women will be primarily be sought for.
I believe that prostitution should be legalized.
Do you mean the act of trading sex for money should be abolished, or laws prohibiting prostitution should be abolished?
