yes but the Bible puts a lot of weight on the parents shoulders to. unless they did all they could.idk the age of this daughter but if as such their still teens then judgement of the child also effects the parent.
does his daughter not have free will? shouldn't god judge the priest based on his actions, even if they failed despite his best efforts?
I know god supposedly updated the text but the whole issue of sins from relationships to sinners didn't disappear in the new testament, it doubled down. now we are all automatically guilty before even our birth because of actions committed 5000 or 2 billion years ago... wtf?
does this really sound like your God?
a name is an important thing. as a father u could say that being a priest he failed the one person that was the most important. also their is Scripture that says if u don't do good where u could of that's sin. but again this scripture is outdated.
yes but at this time Jesus wasn't here. he is why we can ask for forgiveness. at this time lots of people had to sacrifice animals(Genesis for the reason why) and other such tasks. this Scripture isn't really up to date anymore.
but the priest did nothing wrong. his soul is pure.
Hm i see, but why burn to death? Wouldnt confession and repentance solve the problem? Isnt god good and forgiving?
being a prostitute, in makes the priest impure and he cannot be in the presence of God
I actually read that verse about a week ago, and here's the context.
So the priest was to go before God, like actually in person. You must be made pure before you go before God, and sin literally cannot be in the presence of God. So by the priests daughter
The book of Leviticus, a book of law.
God used the book of leviticus to tighten the noose on sin in the Jewish people. During that time, they didn't have jails and police and a military like we do, so there had to be different punishments. At that time, Israel was doing horrible things, like child sacrifice, so God used that book as law to get them away from doing evil.
Also, thia was a book of law. The 10 commandments are God's moral law, that's what he wanted, but an entire nation isn't going to turn away from their evil in a day, so God used these laws to slowly turn them in the right direction over centuries
thereal, you are religious af right?
Explain this pls?
"If a priests daughter defiles herself by becoming a prostitute, she also defiles her father's holiness, and she must be burned to death." - Leviticus 21.9
And i can tell you like Mark Twain a lot, you clearly also adhere to his quote "get your facts first, then you can distort them as you please"
That quote is to say that you should ignore stupid people. Clearly you yourself were too stupid to understand the meaning of the quote lmfao! what retard other than nemiroff basically says "im not going to respond to you" and then responds anyway? looool imbecile
thereal, i think people should "Never argue with stupid people. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience." -Mark Twain
That's why i wont reply your stupid comment.
and thats as much wit as youll get from m3phisto
