racism *can* be a result of ignorance, but i think the real cause is delusion, which can happen no matter how well educated someone is. someone can be raised under the delusion that a certain race is inferior to theirs because of (insert strawman for entire race here) and just believe it because they learned it from a source they trust.
It is very bad and pointless
