This is purely opinion. This sort of question isn't gonna have a fair debate on the fact the question acts on a fallacy, and because of the factors involved in both styles. Some may prefer space and technology to dragons and swords, so there isn't a fair way to compare.
Some science fiction is better than some fantasy and vice versa. It depends entirely upon the author and the book. Isaac Asimov wrote brilliant science fiction. Robert Jordan wrote amazing fantasy, as did Brandon Sanderson. There are unparalleled books of every genre and there is also a great deal of garbage. The the trick is finding the diamonds amongst the dross.
