The energy required to send a rocket into space is substantial. Add to that the risks of the rocket crashing back to Earth or exploding if something goes wrong. Finally, that is like throwing your garbage over the fence and considering it dealt with. Unless we shot it into the sun or out of the solar system, we are just creating space garbage around the planet that poses problems for future space programs.
What if someone blows the rocket up...
