lol. it truly is a pronoun, problem is it's also generally used for objects.
actually, I don't think 3rd pronouns are necessary at all
I always use "it" as a the singular, gender-neutral pronoun, since "it technically is also a pronoun.
I wouldnt mind the introduction of an agreed upon third pronoun.... but I'm not memorizing 5 different ones depending on the persons preference. + the plural thing. it is ridiculous to try to enforce that on others.
if I find myself in that situation, I'll probably just start using the persons name. shouldn't be any issues there.
I disagreed with the not changing for a minority part. that depends on what the change is. I think it's great that some cities made many taxis and buildings accessible to disabled people. they certainly wont be general athletes, but they can still contribute to society instead of being trapped in their local neighborhoods.
I'm fine with Gary marriage, but there are other things soscioty does for lgbtq+ people that I am not accepting of, such as gender neutral pronouns being expected to be used commonly.
This is phrased as a question, so instead of saying I disagree or a agree wich could cause confusion, I will just say this: Soscioty should not change for a minority that makes up less than 4% of the population, especially if they are under no physical harm.
Racists in the 50's said similar things about black people. Racists said similar things about the irish in the 19th century. Bigots and racists will always find a reason why they shouldn't need to change anything to allow others to have rights.
if a gay person is allowed to marry the man of his dreams... how will your life be any different? what exactly are you required to change?
