he has already started destroying American power. he has undermined America's relationships with most of its allies. he wants to pull resources out of the Pacific. he said he might not defend NATO allies if attacked, which would directly violate the treaty.
trump is an isolationist. China and Russia are probably going to redraw the political map of the world as American withdraws.
Trump seems very proud to be American so I doubt he would let is lose power. I would be more worried that he would try to get America to take over a country more than I am that he will let us lose power
the reason Russia supports trump is because he is going to undermine America's global presence and speed the collapse of America's empire. Russia and America are rivals. trump being President doesn't change that. it only gives the Russians more leeway to expand their power and influence. the stronger they get the faster a confrontation is going to occur. trump only makes things worse.

isn't there a saying that the best kind of friend is one that used to be an enemy? I think it's good
