why do you hate people so much?
so they should be given a loan? that is rediculous. new parents have enough bills to pay without businesses having the ability to hold their jobs hostage.
no. at most they should be able to draw pay with an agreement to repay over time.
yes! of course she should!
Idk about 5 months, that seems excessive, maybe 2, but unless someone here can make a compelling case and maybe show some medical credentials, let's save the exact numbers for the experts before we just turn this into an unnecessarily polarizing issue without knowing the details.
Lol this is stupid. Of course she should
Unlike men who just have to donate couple of their best swimmers, women have to deal with much worse (and some of it is every month, not just when she is having a baby). Look at the bigger picture here. By taking this trouble,, the women are in way responsible for the continuity of human race. If we can't even give them 5 months of paid leave, then it would be a shame.
if people are forced to give up a large amount of their money in order to have a child, alot less people are going to be able to afford to have children. Western countries already have negative growth rates. do you want to rely even more on immigration?
who cares if she was raped or not? this isn't about abortion. the woman just gave birth, a heavy procedure that sometimes may involve actual surgery. She needs to recover!
what kind of animals are you?
I think it should depend on the circumstances. If a woman is raped or she makes an otherwise convincing case stating that the pregnancy had nothing to do with her actions (I am not talking short skirts, I'm talking consensual sex), then she should. However, if she intentionally had the baby or didn't take proper precautions (just meaning she can't make a convincing case), she shouldn't be payed for not doing any work. That's just stupid. I think one should have to apply for payment during maternity leave and have a good case as to why.
