I actually just tried to make a joke. Guess it came out wrong..
Woah there, bud, that is 0% true. Often times, when one has one of the three main eating disorders (anorexia, bulimia, and body dysmorphia (not an eating disorder itself, but when present is often paired with the other two)) they are average or underweight. Statistically, very few people with eating disorders, except compulsive eating disorder (the fourth main) are fat.
People have eating disorders because they are fat. No one promotes being fat except for fat feminist.
Yeah, but social media isn't the reason for eating disorders, as the previous person was claiming. And, everything influences society, so I could equally say that clothing creates eating disorders
And social media influences society.
Yeah, that's society, not social media. Have you seen women's magazines from, say, the 1950's, for example? Before social media and they were telling women how to starve themselves, too. That's just advertising in general; making you feel bad about yourself to buy this product to become better.
Because of social media, young women and men are being fed this unrealistic goals.
All these women you see who are so skinny you can see their ribs are influencing young women (and young men,) to starve themselves.
Are you aware of a thing called rib bragging? this was where females who were unhealthy small leant back to show their ribs.
Young men (and women,) are smoking and drinking because they want to feel like part of the gang. Little do they care, it's going to destroy them from the inside out.
This is what society has become.
Anything specific, or?...
