I agree hit we pay into it and the government takes money out and treats it like a trust fund. I don't think we should get rid of it, I think the US citizens should do something about it, I mean we pay in to SSI and will have nothing to show for it for our generation and our children's generation
First of all...We do use the military every day...To do small projects and protect us from outside threats...Second...The government has pulled funds out of scocial sacurity and used it for other things. It is now estimated that it will fail/go bankrupt all together in the next 30 years...but we still pay for it....And the people who do use it don't get the amount of money they were told they would get.
You don't use the military. you don't use roadways on the other side if the country. you don't use alot of what the government spends money on. not every citizen will use everything. you probably aren't going to use a public park for small children. are you then going to insist the park be torn down so you can have something you use? say a parking lot. if course not. the park is there for children. they aren't paying for it. but only an ****** would think it should be taken away. the state is there to protect its people. all its people. not just the ones who can afford nice things.
