wearing short dresses does not make them pieces of meat

Walking around or teaching with short dresses is inappropriate not only for teachers, but for women period. All that does is put wrong thinking in people (especially males) minds. There's so much more to women than being pieces of meat.

I'm assuming the issue your addressing is sexual tensions between students and teachers and that it's innapropriate... which I agree with. But as long as parts that are overly sexualized are covered ( majority of chest, genitals and buttocks ) there shouldn't be a problem... if there is still sexual tension that's mainly on the students at that point

Firstly a teacher too is educated women or men....he or she has that much responsibility that's why he or she has choosen that field. ..and in India the uniform for teachers are fixed that is a sareee or suit. ..which even their mother's wear. ...its all upon the institution.

honestly obviously you've never had kids nor would you ever want to have kids because if you think it's okay for your kid to be around that and say that we are no one to judge then one you definitely shouldn't have kids until you should get a reality check because the kids aren't concentrating on their school work and they're being practically violated

teacher should never be allowed to wear short dresses due to the fact that it violates themselves and it's too revealing wearing a short dress causes the guys and some women to get distracted and if they are distracted through less likely to learn and what is the teacher trying to accomplish exactly anyway wearing a short dress trying to come on to them not appropriate

There are modest short dresses then there are slutty short dresses. If a teacher wears a short dress that isn't modest that could be something that is not healthy for a child. It's the same idea how you wouldn't let your child be exposed to curse words, drugs, adult movies, etc. despite this being a non extreme, unintentional case

According to my opinion we are no one to say anyone what they should and what they should not...it's just that we should wear according to place and it's environment. .

Of course a teacher shouldn't be able to wear anything sexual, but a teacher, as well as a student, should be able to choose themselfs what they want to wear. As long as it is socially acceptable.
