TV is not something important for life. There is absolutely no reasons to spread TV everywhere.
Sony cannot make any money selling TVs and they need to sell their obsolete TV factories in Japan.
I think the wealthiest nations should invest a few millions to buy all the obsolete factories and move them to countries where salaries are low like Canada and Mexico.
Unlike a publicly traded company that is supposed to make money for shareholders this new company called Sony Television would work more like a charity and all the TVs would be sold at cost just to keep the people busy building TVs for a while until modern technology can create a robot that can build a TV cheaper than a human being.
