Being part of a religion isnt just believing a supreme being created the universe, it goes much farther than that.
So first you do have to accept a god did create billions of galaxies in every detail. Then you have to accept this being is especially concerned about one species of primate in one of the billions of galaxies, on a planet revolving around a very average star. And this being is so concerned that we believe it exists that it will punish you for eternity if you dont even though he planned it. you also have to believe we have direct communication to this being telepathically. and you just have to believe all this based on no evidence. Not to mention all the dogma each religion has.
This is why i find religion completely insane.
