The government has no business legislating morality. There is no real reason why 2 consenting adults should not be able to have sex in exchange for money. It is no different than selling any sort of other service (massage parlors, banking advice etc). One party is providing a service to another party. No one is getting harmed.
The only reason these laws exist is to enforce moral rules onto people.
Now that being said laws managing how this process would work would still be needed. Ex. sex workers would need regular health screenings to be sure it is safe.Things like that.
