I fully accept that God is a possibility. the Christian version of creation, and all the other versions I can think of at the moment, is not possible. the story is proven to be full of holes. it cannot be true in the literal sense. anyone who thinks it can doesn't understand science or is deluding themselves.
Science is my life, but I'm also a Christian. For me, it only seems common sense to not rule out the possibility of God. We hardly know anything about the Universe, we're re-writing our laws of physics all the time. There was just an article written about a discovery made using the LHC that could potentially re-write all particle physics. I don't want to tell you what to believe in, but if you really want to lead a scientific life, then always keep an open mind and remember that anything is possible.
and if I am it's probably because I find it surprising that there are people who actually think that it's all real. I made this debate because I wanted to find out what it was that made people believe the creation story. personally I'm all about science so for me it seems like common sense that it's not true and that the big bang and evolution are true. but there's obviously a reason why some people believe this story and that's what I want to find out.
really? cos I'm pretty sure this is the only debate ive made about it for a while (and maybe the Santa one) lol
Danielle, you seem to have a very obsessive fixation on this topic.
the universe went bang.
Briefly and in a way even young children can understand.
You try explaining the formation of the universe to people who don't even know the Earth goes around the Sun.
