I mean prison not Paris. Paris isn't SO bad place...
I would just put him into Paris for his life.
if a man kidnapped and raped my daughter, I think I should be able to rape and torture him for 24 hours then by my hand I can take his life. not just rapists but murders ect
It's just wrong....
WRONG AS ABORTION!
In medicine they need to prove that a pill works better than a placebo. We have no evidence suggesting that it stops crime any better with it or without it. I've always thought of it as more of a revenge and revenge is not justice.
The death penalty is a huge waste of resources. It's also based on false arguments. The most common one is that the death penalty serves as a deterrent. It doesn't. States that have eliminated the death penalty didn't see a rise in murder rates. This means that the death penalty has no effect on murder rates in general.
Death penalty cases cost more. 1.2 million on average for a death penalty case compare to 780,000 for a life in prison case.
Death row inmates cost more to house. Death row inmates cost about 90,000 per year, per prisoner. Max security prisoners cost about 43,000 per year per prisoner....
If this is a debate about resources then it's pretty obvious that the death penalty is a huge waste.
These people who commit such awful crimes will never be able to conform to society because of their mental state. And if you hand them a gun, they will turn on their fellow soldier and that is the true waste of human resources. The death penalty is very needed and needs to be instituted more quickly than it currently is. Criminals sit in prison using up money and resources for years before they finally get what they deserve.
So your position is that instead of the death penalty we should enslave them and force them to work as soldiers. What does that teach them, why would they even do it? They know that their entire life is basically gone, they're not going to care. The death penalty at least provides something to fear. The death penalty isn't for the individual, it's for the society as a whole.
Death penalty is needed in some cases. Those who commit serious crimes like homicide and rape deserve death penalty. They take other people's lives and they should the consequences of their actions. Besides, it will give a deterrent effect to others.
Just give him an anklet and release him.
I am sure he would be a very good soldier with proper training. Unlike regular soldiers, this one will work for free for the rest of his life. We would save billions.
