I think it somewhat barbaric and uncivil to do that in public. The last thing the country needs to do is foster an attitude of violence for some, or fear for others. If you are taking about America, we are a country that prides ourselves in freedom, not of fear and submission. Some criminals should be executed, but it is not necessary to do it in a bloodthirsty way, or in public.
yes there will be riots and stuff bt thats it after smetime riots settle bt the fear that has been incorporated especially criminals would nt wear off easily and u r right that death penalty fr extreme crime that way criminal would'nt think of doing as i earlier said it will discourage them and make them more fearful.
even if it was effective, the outrage would be way worse than any benefit. we are not savages anymore. we live in a modern, first world country. no one will stand, and i doubt very many peoole would watch such a traumautixing event. i expect more riots to usurp the public, resulting in the opposite effect. death penalty should be legal, byt only used on extremely dangerous criminals, and definetly not broadcasted to the public
well studies or survey isn't accurate everytime and also result keeps on changing well i think it depends person to person that he is feared or not by death penalty or life imprisonment and also some criminals who are very influential live would prefer imprisonment as they can get good food nd stuff easily and no one stopping them
There have been studies on the efficacy of the death penalty as a detergent, since that is the biggest argument used by supporters. It was found that there is no evidence that the death penalty does not show any better deterrent effects than other forms of punishment (prison) and in some cases is less effective (criminals feared long term imprisonment more than death).
i believe it would set an example for the criminal except pyscopaths.they will think twice before doing something wrong.
I think it would just piss people off and make them more belligerent.
Consider that countries with no death penalty do not necessarily have higher rates of violent crime. In fact, frequently they have lower violent crime rates.
