That is true, unless you count the protochicken as being the first chicken. However, if looking from that standpoint, you then have to question if the protochicken EGG came first. It is really all a matter of opinion.

that is true. but the first modern chicken egg was laid by a proto chicken. where you draw that line doesn't really matter. but at some point a slightly different kind of bird laid the first chicken egg. and the first chicken hatched out of it.

Eggs need incubation to hatch. Therefore obviously the chicken came before the egg for if the egg came before the chicken, it would rot with no chicken to sit over and incubate it.

Imagine a proto chicken. desended from the t Rex. now when that proto chicken lays an egg to the next generation of protochicken where each generation of protochicken is closer to the modern chicken. now if you keep haven't protochicken reproduce eventually the latest protochicken will lay the first egg of modern chickens. so the egg came first.

This really needs and in depth scientific explanation, and you can look up this explanation on ASAP Science's YouTube channel. Basically, it depends on what you view as "the chicken egg" and the "chicken"

Let's go into the bible really quick... he made the animals, not eggs. plus, Adam was fully grown.

2 years, 11 months ago

That means the egg came before the chicken. Since eggs existed before chickens existed.

This goes still with my logic, turtles burry their eggs. if the egg came first there would be no turtle to burry it, do it would be eaten.

2 years, 11 months ago

Turtles lay eggs though, and turtles date back before chickens.

2 years, 11 months ago

the egg could not come before the chicken because it wouldn't have a care giver. in which chickens would not have ever existed.
