I guess it is a common thing that the eldest child in a family has the biggest responsibility. As the eldest child, he has to be a good example for his younger brothers and sisters. Whatever he does and says should show good manners. When he grows up and has got a job, he must help his brothers and sisters financially like paying their tuition fee or giving them money once in a while.
