our independent branches add little difference. it is within our 500 member Congress that the insanity occurs. Britain has 600.

the EU has 7 distinct countries in it that all have their own governments and independently handle the vast majority of their affairs. the only thing they need to agree on is economic rules.

one can say that the USA is 50 different "branches" as states make their own laws and sue the government. that would be a more logical comparison to the EU situation. if they were to become 1 nation, it would only have 7 internal separations as opposed to our 50.

you haven't provided any evidence that it is a bureaucratic nightmare. you've said they have 7 branches, please provide an actual argument and evidence as to why that is a problem.

The language barrier is only part of the reason why the EU is a managerial and bureaucratic nightmare, pay attention!

India has 22 official languages. do you still want to argue a country needs to have only 1 or 2 languages?

One more important point, there are a lot more than 2 main languages in the European Union compared to the United States, where the US only has English and Spanish as the main languages. If any countries are going to unite, at least have have only 1 or 2 official languages...

The United States has a fairly simple amount of 3 government branches (judicial, executive, and legislative) to manage a very large land mass just about equal to the European continent, the European Union has freaking 7!!! The EU having so many branches of government is only one of the reasons why it is a nightmare...
