I am a high school student, I honestly think it's not the best system that could be in place
they are mostly funded through local property taxes. so you can't say they aren't well funded because public schools in areas with high property values are excellent schools all around.
of course the poor are screwed, but leave it to the Republicans to blame it on their laziness while trying to preach "opportunity equality"
well they aren't funded well enough to prosper. you should cut back your military spending a bit and actually spend it helping your own people.
I wouldn't say collapse, but they surely aren't going to prosper.
"The reality, experts say, is exactly the opposite: Violent crime in schools has decreased significantly since the early 1990s."
so because home echoing went from 2 to 3% in 10 years, you think that is evidence that the school system is collapsing? that means that 97% of children are still in schools.
You have to deal in facts, not in what your opinion of the facts are. You say kids are fighting more, find some statistics to prove that. You can't throw things out and just say trust me, that's a fact. If you can't prove it, then I have every right to call you on it.
Again you need facts. If you say home schooling rates are going up, then it shouldn't be hard to provide a link to it. I usually do this for you when you say unfounded things because you can't be bothered researching your opinions before arguing them as fact on the internet. But if you can't prove it then your opinion is just that, an opinion. and as such bears very little weight.
-Kids and teachers are fighting more and more. More than ever. Schools are becoming more and more of a hostile enviroment. That is a known fact.
-If Obama passes that law where "transgender" can use the restrooms and ect. according to their "identity", you would basically have boys showering with girls and vice versa. People would pull their children out of school for those reasons.
-More and more people are going with the option of private homeschooled at a dramatic rate. Out of the 6 millions kids at public schools, there are 500,000 who do homeschooling in Texas alone. This number continues to grow.
So far your argument has no actual evidence. All you have said is the equivalent of old people saying the country was so much better in their day. Yes there are fights in schools. so what? teenagers fight, its a part of being young and stupid. Sexual incidents have always happened too. That is nothing new either. so your first point doesn't seem to have any merit on the face of it. If you want to provide some credible evidence that these things are worsening that's fine. But otherwise it is just your own biased opinion.
I don't see how bathroom issues will cause the collapse of the school system. the only problem that it causes is bigots getting louder and angrier. Other than that there is no problem. Much less one that would bring down the education system.
Unless you have some actual evidence to back your opinions, I don't see how this is even debatable. I know of no evidence to support the idea that the school system will collapse, let alone in the next 10 years.
-Public schools have been over run by chaos, fights and more fights. Student teacher incidents fights and sexual. It will only get worse and public schools in america would collapse.
-If Obama forces trans people to allow them to use a bathroom consistent with their identity, it will officially break the schools, and more people will go with private homeschooling methods.
-I am basically saying the public schooling system is on the verge of collapsing. Ultimately, the system will collapse in the next decade.
you will have to explain what you mean.
