if there is no religions maybe we are like animals. do something they want and dont care if it's right or wrong. in religion, we are taught what is right and what is wrong and how to live this life until the world after we die later.
although I am not religious, religion does hold together mankind in it's darkest Times and prevents it from falling into anarchy
@mocha you're so wrong its actually kind of funny.
Religions actually abstain people from wrong doings. When people wanted to do something bad, they'll be remember that the god is watching them. thus, it makes them abstain from it. the crime against humanity that currently happen nowdays e.g isis and boko haram has nothing to do with the 'religion'. they're a group of people who were directed by their own whims. there are no religions that support mass murder
the only thing religion causes is false, communal hope and war. I have a question; how in any way has religion helped humanity? Religious "morals" can easily be put into question. Religion gives people the excuse not to listen to facts and reasoning or to actually learn anything(scientific) for that matter.
Religion I think of it as an art. Now with art many love it for its time but.... It does have its time. We are evolving past the need for it anymore even though the need in the first place wasn't great, you can't say it wasn't a small stepping stone in our social evolution.
and how are these countries doing?
Religion is the base of most countries
