Freedom of speech also allows people to disagree with the government. Without it, even peaceful protest becomes impossible. While some people use it to express foolish or insulting ideas, many more people use it to express reasonable disagreement with how things are done. Debates over the death penalty, abortion, and wars all draw passionate people from both sides, and both can make some valid points. We need the ability to express our opinions and, hopefully when people show that we have an ill informed one, we can reevaluate it.
Freedom of speech has numerous other valid uses. Here's one: expressing a view which dissents against the choices of money or political power. As for whether or not there are rights or freedoms, your conclusion doesn't follow the premise and merely reveals your bias.
