That's a shame. I have a Samsung.

it was on an iPhone, generic debateme, the emojis were not specialized or anything, which is why when I mentioned it I added points so we could be different. There was another one, but it was short lived, and crashed more than it ran.

TLDR;

Add a spam filter. Add a discussion section.

MrShine, tell me about these other debate sites or apps please!

As much as I love reading your insightful comments (no really), I wish you would make paragraph breaks because this wall of text hurts and I lose track of where I am. Really cool suggestions though. I hope they read this. Um, I had some questions though...

"Also, if there was a button on each comment or debate for viewing who voted which way (kind of good as it is for changing views in later comments, but a separate function to say who changed ideas is a cool prospect too)."

-Isn't there. Not a button but there is a visual of who voted what side on the left. It has colors, but you probably mean something else.

Oh! How about an animation for a scale, where it shows in favor of agreement or disagreement? Or emojis based on what kind of disagreement you have with someone (example, if you believe there is a contradiction, use a broken spear and shield against each other. The app is debatewars, and the kanji for contradiction is spear and shield, based on the idea that "a shield that can defend from anything" and "a spear that can stab anything" cannot exist, should both come in contact. Another example being a scarecrow, because he is a literal strawman. Or even a strand of DNA for a genetic fallacy, a pair of gambling dice, even if it is stupid."

-That would be so cool. I wish it would let me use graphics, but it does need a spam filter! Especially better moderation of debates for spam and debate topic spam. it will get worse when the app grows out.

" On other debate apps, there was a clear correlation between who used emojis and who didn't make good arguments, but still it does get a bit dull seeing nothing but lines of text.)"

-What debate apps are you talking about? Please tell!!!!

I kind of like this too, but wish it looked fancier or something. The head to head thing sounds interesting too.

o actually think this is set up really nice!

I would suggest a 1 on 1 debate feature. so a person can go head 2 head. especially if this app grows a 1 on 1 will become more needed.

it could definetly be better, and have more people. Can't do much about the people, but what could be done is, as previous debates complained about, add a function for adding pictures. Also, if there was a button on each comment or debate for viewing who voted which way (kind of good as it is for changing views in later comments, but a separate function to say who changed ideas is a cool prospect too). Maybe a photo and/or an article attached to the topic, rather than just a link, along with an extended text limit. I wouldn't go as far as say having a translate option, but it seems if someone's second language is English it really can cause difficulty in communication (I've known plenty of people who had English as a second language, and were capable of articulating themselves, but a few times on this app there has been a loss in translation with syllable, maybe he just wasn't making sense either, but I would assume it is closer to the former than the latter. More languages=bigger community?) Oh! Or even a strand of DNA for a genetic fallacy, a pair of gambling dice, even if it is stupid. On other debate apps, there was a clear correlation between who used emojis and who didn't make good arguments, but still it does get a bit dull seeing nothing but lines of text.)
Indented text might be nice, so that actually replying to someone's comment on something not community related (example, the link provides click bait, and the comment below says click bait) which then collapses all but the highest rated comment in the reply to the comment, and rank the comments by choosing of date or rating. this app might be too small for these ideas, but I like to think that these functions would be useful if the app got bigger. Someone else suggest stupid things so I don't feel alone?
