I do think the principle behind democracy is great but I disagree with certain aspects of the political system. Nevertheless, what do you suggest then as a system as I would say something is better than nothing.
I am American yet I believe that democracy as a form of government is inefficient. Imposing democracy, then, is a much worse idea because as we learned from a democratic nation, ironically enough, not everyone agrees with it nor used to it. Chaos would ensue if something like that was done. And realistically speaking, I do not think that anyone would have the resources nor the time to counteract the consequences of imposing democracy and maintaining democracy in those places whose ideologies are very different.
