people keep rioting because they know they can get away with it, and thats our fault. if its a natural even that occure, then we need to step out and halt it, before it happens. consequences should be severe, people are harmed directly and indirectly. if we show tjat rioting every time your upset is punishable severely, then they will think twice. but right now they think they can just riot and do whst they please, when they please. 230 people were arrested, and 99 percent of them released. and this has been two riots in less than a years time. change needs to come.
I think we've all agree riots are horrible things.
I always find sociological claims somewhat dubious. Since you're making a positive claim, the burden of proof (that riots are natural, unavoidable events given certain social conditions) is on you.
As is the burden of proof that they accomplished nothing on Getmurked. It could be said that without the riot, the government wouldn't have been as severe on those cops. It can't be scientifically stated... But it's a plausible claim.
Meanwhile, I agree that riots are horrible things.
We can't say whether riots are necessary or unnecessary, because riots are just results.
Let me say it in this way; if you inflate a balloon too much, it'll end up exploding. Exploding is not the balloon's decision. We can't blame the balloon for exploding.
so you agree that thier "necessary"
Riots don't have to accomplish anything in the first place. Because all riots are just -results- of oppressions.
who disagrees? why?
