technological advantage is something that shifts all the time. before industrialization Europe was far below the chinese and islamic world. your sense of superiority is rooted in short sightedness.
however how europe used the technological advantage proved them to be little more then savage warmongers using their advantage to oppress and plunder as much as they could.
They had riches, but they didn't develop technology.
that would depend strongly on what policy britian has towards africa. Its unfortunate that we learn so little about Africa's history, but they have had quite the rich history. such as the kingdom of aksum, with empires, coins, and international trade with asia and europe all the way back to the time of rome.
sure they may have required british help after they were robbed of all their resources and population. but perhaps they would have been even better off without both the help and the plunder.
yes and no, its just combination of infinte variable.
Obama's half brother in Kenya believes that if the British had stayed longer it would have helped Kenya develop until they could do it themselves.
Africa was invaded, plundered, and oppressed by Europe. How is that their fault?
