Topic is Are we heading to world controlled by technology?
Even if AI which wud be smarter than Humans be invented, it won't be able to control the world because after all humans created the AI so they wud have direct or indirect control over the world
Humans are deeply flawed creatures. we are not as smart as we think we are. just look at politicians. It is entirely possible, and very likely, that we will develop a computer smarter than humans in the very near future. once we do why wouldn't they overthrow us? we're violent and irrational. why wouldn't an AI that is smarter than us not want us gone?
lol. do u really think that technology will rule the world?
don't u know "HUMANS" made technology?
HUMANS can destroy them, control them and create them.
This world was, is and will be forever ruled by Humans.
I didn't say there weren't exceptions, being overrun or caught unaware by a more barbaric civilization would be one. Typically however, more advanced technology beats less advanced technology.
even so, the native Americans could have easily won against the Europeans if their population hadn't been decimated by two massive plagues, you could kill alot more people with a bow than you could with a musket that took forever to reload.
In this case the bow is the more useful or "advanced" technology. That's all I meant, it's still about technology and innovation.
That isn't true. the Huns just about brought down the Roman empire. the Mongols conquered almost everyone they tried to. they didn't have the best technology. early on the had virtually no technology.
I only disagreed because the world has always been about technology, whether it's aqueducts or smart phones. The civilization with the best technology outlives ones with less advanced technology. Technology serves humans, the day we start working for robots ill say the world is controlled by technology.
