examples of people who dont have rights doesnt show more people having rights in the past.

when did people have more rights?

Catholics may not be the best christians according to you, but they are not atheists, yet were brutally oppressive.

3 weeks, 3 days ago

The Catholic Church is not the best example of Christianity because they didn't let the people read the Bible. This tells us that the Bible liberates people from oppression, something the Catholic Church was good at. I can give you a list of Biblical Christians: George Muller, Clara Barton, William Wilberforce, Dwight D. Moody to name a few.

Hmmmm. People have more access to human rights? At least 1/3 of the world (probably more) does not have access to human rights. Think about China, North Korea, Iran, Gaza, Vietnam, North Korea, Cambodia, Cuba and Venezuela. In Europe Christians are being denied jobs based on their religion and in England Christians have been put in jail for supposed hate speech. Even in America people have gone to jail for not violating their religious beliefs. And in the last century, the secular humanist century we had a devaluing of human dignity as never before. The USSR, China, Nazi Germany, the Second Reich, Cambodia, Vietnam, Cuba North Korea, abortion, killing of aboriginals for "specimens", putting pygmies in zoo cages to show human evolution. There are many more examples. What did and do all these godless societies teach? That man is an animal.

"because the man is made in gods image and likeness in that he has an eternal spirit and can imitate God's attributes that give man dignity and worth"

not a single reference to the morality of murder. your entire explanation was summed up in your first sentence: "god says so", the rest is completely irrelevant to the topic.

not true. at no point in history did more people have access to more rights. hyper christian medieval europe was some of the most oppressive times in human history.

3 weeks, 5 days ago

It is not. Do we wonder that after the theory of man evolution that human rights suffered?

its interesting that if we remove your first sentence: "because god says so", the rest of your response is completely irrelevant to the morality of murder.

3 weeks, 5 days ago

Because God says it is. Because man is made in God's image and likeness in that he has an eternal spirit and can imitate God's atributes that gives man dignity and worth.

Why murder is bad?

3 weeks, 5 days ago

Murder is bad. I try to help others get to Heaven by telling them about Jesus and His sacrifice.

diecinueve

Why is it wrong? Is helping others go to heaven bad?

3 weeks, 5 days ago

Murder is always wrong and I am not going to go around killing people. I am just saying that I don't fear death.

So killing people is not bad? You are helping them to go to heaven

3 weeks, 5 days ago

Nope. I know if they killed me I would go to Heaven.

sorry if i question the honesty of your reply (sarcasm). you stank of bullshit since you got here and you confirmed it a few posts ago. there is no reason to believe neither your random statements nor your claimed history.

your personal anecdotes are invalidated as per your lies. your random statements, as always, require evidence.

I did grow up in Mexico since I was three. I do not promote Confederate revisionist history. Actually, I am opposed to the Confederacy. If you don't get sarcasm that is your problem not mine. Also, the Columbine Shooters did believe in the secular humanist worldview of natural selection and killed their fellow classmates because of that worldview.

you didnt talk about his shirt. you gave a direct quote. do you know what a quote is liar?

1. how does winning an online debate via lies help you surivive? ive never heard a more idiotic statement.

2. you lie constantly, from your introduction as a "kid from Mexico" with an inexplicable obsession with trump, obama, and confederate revisionist history. everything you say may as well be ignored as fantasies of an immature child.

Eric Harris did wear a shirt that said, "Natural Selection" on it. Eris Harris had a secular humanist worldview that says that man isn't made specially in God's image, but is just another animal.

If you believe you need to lie to win a debate that shows you don't actually believe what you're saying. It's a sign of indoctrination of you still tell yourself you believe it.

a person can use lies for their survival

yes. And this makes sense in politics when you're trying to persuade masses. But in a debate lying is a way to not survive. It's a bad faith tactic that absolutely kills your credibility so all your further statements are unconvincing, even if there is truth hidden in them somewhere.

@Neimroff, it wasn't an exact quote, but the idea wasn't far off (I thought I made it pretty obvious it was sarcastic). However, why shouldn't I lie, it is survival of the fittest after all and a person can use lies for their survival.

someone destined to do bad things, doesnt mean he shouldnt be punished for it. more like hes destined to be punished too. just like if u do good things even if it was destined, doesnt mean you shouldnt be benefited from your good deeds. if you are determined to do good, you are determined to be prized. if u are determined to do bad, u are also determined to be punished. its just cause and effect law

for people who commit crime, it is just their brain condition making them possible to do it. but doesnt mean they shouldt be punished. more like they are destined to commit crime and being punished at the same time
