The few that truely wished to protest were covered up by those who decided to take advantage of the situation, Aka, those who decided to vandalise or perform other illefal activities. I may sound like a bigot saying this, but the Black Lives Matter movement is heavily focused on one race. It should be expanded to whites, latinos, asians, etc and not one race as all lives matter.

My opinion on the protest is that there was no reason for it. The officer was simply doing his job, which entails defending the people and themselves if needed during a dangerous situation. I will admit that some cops are too trigger happy at times and make huge mistakes. This was not one. This man had a criminal history and was obviously a repeat offender who may have been armed.

Nemiroff will probably tell you that it was before when the group was just a hashtag, not mentioning how a BLM leader tweeted condemning the "state action that led to this protest". No harm saying this, but I have to be direct in a position that has an event that cannot be denied from our organized group. It's been happening, and something like this, unfortunately, allows us to be honest about that.

Also, is Nemiroff gone? Where are you at?

the Protests were shameful. the black police officer did his job stopping a man who had been arrested 13 times. unfortunately the man had a gun and turned to face a the officer and disobeyed "drop your weapon" orders from the officer. bad things happen when you do that.

why did the Protests occur? what was their message? I'm confused. the officer behaved correctly. you know who didn't behave in accordance with the law? those who burned 6 business, blocked public roads, and throw rocks at cops the last 2 nights.
