The origin of the jedi or the nature of the clone wars. how the empire came to be. why Vader couldn't sense Leia until luke gave her away. where emperor came from. there's a lot of stuff that they neglect to mention or address. and that's a good thing. not every question needs an answer.

What are you talking about? There were a million unanswered question during and upon completion of the original trilogy. the only reason we know so much about the star wars universe is because of the 30 years of EU content.

It was a cool movie, with its action sequences and what not. But the movie wasn't Star Wars, J. J. Abrams is a good director but he didn't portray Star Wars. There is too many unanswered questions in the movie. Abrams talks about a "mystery box" on Tedtalks, none of the Star Wars movies had that. In episode 4 it was understood that Vader killed Lukes father, then in episode 5 Vader turns out to be Lukes father; their was no question if Vader was his father it was just revealed in episode 5. The part was kinda mind blowing.

In episode 8 some questions will get answered but some new ones will arise, that's not a way Star Wars has ever been told. And the question of the Sith, that really got to me. How did Rey defeat Ren when she has never picked up a lightsaber and Ren has been trained in the dark side, and by Luke at one point. I think it was awful the way they portrayed it.

All in all a cool sci-fi movie to watch

It has the usual Star Wars elements but it has some great action movies sequences. You should check it out because it is a good movie otherwise.

I haven't seen it, but I haven't seen the first episodes either. haha.
people are saying it's not super star wars like, and just an action movie. is it really? cause then maybe I'll see it.

I think that while it seemed like a dead set copy it was the same basic plot and execution but it worked well to assist the transition from old characters to new and will alow them more freedom in the next ones.

agree with others. I liked it, but Rey's character bothered me. She rubbed me the wrong way. Loved everyone else though! Will be at next one!

It's a New Hope copy and pasted with a new title and slightly different characters.
