People have "slummed it" for many generations. It's is not a new phenomenon.
As to it being trendy, I think interracial couples are just more open than they were in years gone by because the vast majority of people are less judgemental of it. I don't have any actual numbers for how often it is, though, so I am basing these opinions on my personal experiences and to a lesser extent on the media. If someone has statistics that show I'm wrong, I will reevaluate.
I agree with the other users. Interrational couples are on the rise and there is nothing wrong with that.
As for it being trendy, I think it is because he is a thug that she is dating him. I've seen white thugs too. It's a rebellious thing to date one or maybe she fell for a thug
Or is it they only are dating them for their skin color because it's trendy?
I'm not sure if you were apart of the discussion way back, but yeah I'm a white guy that has black cousin's who's ancestors were slave in the US. Alright with that said, I've noticed a rise in young, college age girls dating street thugs. Now these girls I've noticed come from wealthy families and respectable families. It has become trendy to date these type of guys because these guys are that particular way. it's easy to cry racism here if someone notices it and points it out. But what I noticed, what my cousin's would call these street thugs. It never started about the issue of skin color, until someone made it into an issue. Here is an example of bring racism into the discussion, saying something like "I don't like our white women dating these n*ggers or sp*cs." Noticing a trend and then pointing out the trend is not racist. There is a difference between them
because like Ryan said unlike you they are able to see past some ones skin colour!
Are you replying to me? If so, I explained why it's common.
Damn right Maximus.
trendies that say the word racist do not understand that everyone not just in the US but everywhere are really tired of it's excessive overuse and abuse of meaning. not to mention it being used as a default if they have nothing clever to say in response.
Man, you guys are f***ing retarded. I just said it's trendy to like black guys now.
One, why is it any of our business on who and what a girl has sexual or romantic relationships with?! Second, the rise of interracial relationships is because of the drop of racism and globalization in both the world and the United States.
No, it was because I realized it was ambiguous the way I typed it.
I notice you deleted your insulting comment. Could it be because it contributed nothing to the subject?
She can't argue the subject so she has to bring up a new one, good red herring Danielle.
what does voting for Trump have anything to do with observing your surroundings? please explain....
I bet your voting Donald trump
yeah, kinda like a girl in college dating a gettoh thug with gold teeth?
no, they can just see past someone's skin colour, you should try it sometime.
