Being a midwife can be quite a rewarding job, because you are bringing the future to our world. But on that note, Being a midwife does not determine whether that future is good or bad. Being a firefighter or policeman can save people's lives, but the future is still undetermined. I believe being a teacher, whether as a profession, a parent, or just talking to a friend is the best thing you can do. The words you say to a person can change the entire course of their life. The opinions you plant in their brain can effect the way they treat others. of course, this still doesn't ensure anything for the future, because in order to change the world you have to be a teacher who can leave students with an impression.

you don't need to be a woman to be a midwife,
I agree with dave, although i said midwife because to be able to be part of bringing a new life into the world must be so rewarding. you get to be part of the most special time for couples. your role is so important, both parents are scared and vulnerable and your there to help them! that's pretty satisfying when a baby is born healthy and perfect!
I would say it depends on your passion and your definition of fulfilment.
Midwifery could definitely be fulfilling to someone who wants to help bring new life into the world and make childbirth easier on mothers and babies.
Firefighting could be fulfilling to someone who wants to save lives and help people.
Policing could be fulfilling for someone who wants to prevent injustice and protect people.
Medicine could be fulfilling for someone who wants to save lives and heal the sick.
Business could be fulfilling to someone who wants to support their family and make money.
Philanthropy (not really a job) could be fulfilling to someone who wants to give back to the community.
There are so many answers based on what someone believes is important in life. Personally the part of my life I find most fulfilling is taking care of and spending time with my daughter.
backup your statement. i mean i am a boy and i dont know anything about women.
