yeah we technically have to be to a point. abortion could be murder like I think or it could be cells like u think. but I think the general view of Christians is abortion is bad. also if a gang only accepted a single race of people should u not focus on that race? it seems the most logical
Nemiroff, I swear there's hope for you. If i stereotype somebody, am I showing disdain for them or looking at them as inferior? The fact simply is that stereotyping is very natural and very logical. If somebody assumes that all Christians are anti abortion (as they should me), it is a very logical point to begin with.
And neither is it bigoted. Bigotry would be getting kicked out of your class for political beliefs (which happens). Bigotry would be rejection from society without reasonable cause for only ideas.
My argument was that he never explicitly said that she did not speak because she was Muslim. Therefore, I will not make the conclusion that is what he meant.
If he did mean that, it would be a generalization of ones beliefs due to their religion, which is not totally accurate as every individual holds different beliefs.
Trump is a bigot. Hillary is a bigot. I am a bigot, and you are a bigot. We believe our opinions are better than each others. If we didn't, we would not be so arrogant in refusing to agree.
You went off on a tangent, and I am not sure if I respond. His comments on Mccain and POW were bad, and I do not agree with everything he says. I like him become he says what he thinks even if it is crazy, idiotic, but mostly competent.
I think his policies will lead us on the right track. We have to wait 200 days in order to get a good idea.
If you are trying to use the poorly educated comment against Trump, you and I both know he was reffering to people without college deegres, and very rarely do college degrees change a person from ignorant to less ignorant, especially when alot of college degrees do not relate to political science, government, or common sense.
and his generalization was inherently negative when viewed from our western culture, which turns the generalization into a stereotype and makes it even more racist.
generalizations are often innocent assumptions, like Asians are good at school, which can still hurt especially if someone doesn't feel like they live up to it, or their success is minimized because of course the Asian would be good in math, not impressive. stereotypes are inherently negative and are meant to impose hate, like the greedy jew or the angry black. both are bad but it's like going from ignorant to bigot. Trump went bigot there.
how about his generalization about POWs like mccain "I like the ones that don't get caught"?
sure sounds good if you don't think too hard, like everything else he says. easy for stupid people to consume cause "I love the poorly educated" but what if a pow gets caught while helping his team escape as a sacrifice, yet trump GENERALIZED them all as incompetent and that is also a sign of bigotry. he is beyond racist. he is an equal opportunity hate monger and bigot. all races, all nationalities, all cripples, all failures. and guess what low class Americans that he claims to represent, you are like a POW. you failed. you didn't educate yourself, you didn't build an empire. you suck. and he will not represent you. keep fantasizing.
we will have to rip the power from his hands in 4 years because he will not want to give it up. not even after 8. I'm warning you.
"He could have very well meant the DNC, and that is what most people would figure if the family was White and Christain. You need to learn how to read."
if they were white and Christian he wouldn't have said it because it wouldn't make sense the DNC idea is just silly. why would the DNC not want the mother of a fallen hero also talk? your just clinging to anything to justify your side.
he was talking about their religion. it's obvious to anyone not trying to lie to themselves.
"You're quote says maybe. Maybe Christians take the Eucharist. Maybe they are pro life. Why is it wrong to say what said?"
well let's look at it from the perspective of a Muslim majority country where a Christian is on trial for the blasphemy laws. a Christian would totally say jesus is God and the last prophet, which would be blasphemous against Muhammed. and since it is likely a Christian would say that, it would be perfectly fine in your view to assume that specific Christian said it, and sentence them to years in prison.
or what if anti anti abortion laws are passed and people assume every Christian was against abortion and is therefore justified in being harassed as individuals over something not 100% of their group did.
or how I am now being harassed because many white men voted for Trump a lot of people assume I voted for Trump and are harassing me.
if you are generalizing from a group to a person, you are racist or some sort of bigot.
What the hell did I just say? You proved nothing. You assumed he was talking about religion, as he never actually said she was not allowed to speak because of her religion. Everybody on the left just assumed he did for political expediency.
He could have very well meant the DNC, and that is what most people would figure if the family was White and Christain. You need to learn how to read.
As for the Mexicans, you jumped from one argument to another because one got completely obliterated. Sad.
You're quote says maybe. Maybe Christians take the Eucharist. Maybe they are pro life. Why is it wrong to say what he said.
and you are right. it is a fact that many traditional muslims, the man speaks for the woman... and then he generalized that to a specific individual within a religion as a presumed fact.
that's a religious bias
"His wife ? if you look at his wife, she was standing there. She had nothing to say. she probably, maybe she wasn't allowed to have anything to say."
before you start yelling that someone is a liar, check your facts.
as for the mexicans... they aren't "sending" anyone. this isn't Cuba deporting criminals, these are people coming of their own free will, they are not the worst, although they are often the poorest.
You are a liar. Trump never said she did not talk because of her religion, quote him. I dare you. Everybody just assumed that.
They assumed that because majority of Muslims, men speak for the woman. Fact! Some people thought the DNC wouldn't let her speak, and thats what they thought Trump meant.
If there were white Christain husband and wife, and Trump said the same thing, do you think people would take it as a attack on all Muslims?
About the Mexican comment, you cannot actually provide a full in context quote. I explained how it is clearly not racist. You are too naive to accept facts.
Nemi we dont know who is crossing the border. Everything is an assumption.
the guy said the Mexicans that are crossing the border are rapists, and some of them (a few) might be good people.
he saw a Muslim women who had just lost her son who was serving this nation, and assumed all her actions can be explained by her religious belief
that's religious discrimination.
trump's not against legal immigrants.
and he is agaisnt ILLEGAL Mexicans not legal. people say they are scared of being deported even though they are legal and this is simply illogical. let's take a vote. who here will allow Trump to deport any LEGAL Mexicans?
Trump's not against muslims or mexicans. He's against RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISM and people dont understand that simple word. And more thing. He's gonna make America great again.
This is by far the stupidest statement I have ever heard. Trump does not dislike Mexicans or Muslims, and when people infer that he dislikes those groups, it is utterly false. The Muslim ban, whether you disagree with the policy or not, was not based on bigotry, but the idea to eliminate the threat of foreign radicals. Not to mention, he "evolved" his plan to just suspending immigration from certain countries.
Building a wall is to eliminate gangs and drugs from coming into America. If you disagree with the fact that illegal immigration from the southern border does not cause crime to rise, look at how when we added better border security crime rates went down in Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico. I hope I do not have to explain about the drug smuggling epidemic and how it affects America, regardless if you agree with the wall. The wall and his policies have nothing to do with hatred towards Latinos.
Ultimately, the comment he made "When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They are not sending you. They are not sending you. They are sending people with lot's of problems, and they are bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapist, and some I assume are good people. But I speak to border guards and they tell us what we are getting, and it only makes common sense. They are not sending us the right people. It is coming from more than Mexico. It is coming from all over South and Latin America, and it is coming from probably, probably the Middle east. But we do not know because we have no protection and we have no competence." is what stirred it all up, but the media takes this text majorly out of context.
I encourage you to look at the facts. I cannot honestly see how this is discrimination against people of Latino heritage. The facts back up this very statement, and everyone should know the cartels use the border like it is swiss cheese. As far as deportation goes, I do not agree with it, but Trump believes we should enforce the laws. He spoke with Latino community organizers and they worked together to build a better plan and that starts with deporting criminal aliens first and worrying about families for a later time.
That is how we contribute to Make America Great Again!
