Can we all just go get fries and a milkshake and live happy lives

it's just the right becoming what they hate, politically correct.

except their version of political correctness is not meant to respect people, but to demean their cause or to demonize a whole religion.

3 years, 5 months ago

and it's the same argument as people like to make against black lives matter. saying one life matters doesn't mean that another life doesn't matter. saying you love your mother doesn't mean you don't love your father. saying women need to be empowered doesn't mean that men should have no power.

empowerment means they need to gain power. if you already have power, you don't need to be enpowered.

it's basic english....

Males eat Quales. Women do too.

Girls went to Jupiter to get more stupider. The boys went to mars to get more candy bars.

This implies males can't have power. instead of women empowerment we should say people empowerment.

This is a link showing a picture of the "famous" singer Gazelle from the recent Disney movie Zootopia:
http://orig11.deviantart.net/6959/f/2016/025/5/1/zootopia_gazelle_4_by_kazerxestelaris-d9pccrt.png

This is a problem. It may not seem like one, but they emphasize in the movie that it is not acceptable for animals to be "naked". And here we have a representation to all young girls showing that if you dance and sing on a stage half naked, you can be famous like the amazing Gazelle.

Even in a KIDS movie they portray it this way. This is why feminism is important. To show that women don't have to meet any standards besides being talented at what they do to become successful.

But feminism isn't just about women. It's about gender equality, in general. Because sexism is portrayed by men AND women. Because even men are insulted by girls for being "sissy" or are called "pathetic" when they are hurt by a girl. Sexism isn't "us" vs. "them", it's us vs. our lack of understanding. By working together, we can end sexism that hurts both men and women. Listening to each other helps all of us.

One of the earlier posts said that Beyonce speaks out against women's standards and then chooses to dress... well.. breezily while performing. But that is her choice. What she is saying, is women shouldn't feel that they HAVE to dress like that and wear tons of makeup to be beautiful. They should feel accepted. Beyonce wants women to feel free to express themselves and not fear judgement.

dalton. not one serious feminists wants to lower standards. and yes, most women will not pass the test. but some will. some will be better than most of the male soldiers even. and they deserve the right to serve IF they qualify in whatever unit they want.

that's what feminists want?
is that unreasonable?

3 years, 5 months ago

granted I started skimming as it was a bunch of stupid right wing crap, but that still didn't point out a single feminist group calling for standards to be lowered. it described how the left doesn't want restrictions based on race, religion or gender.

you still haven't come up with a single feminist who believes what you claim the majority of them believe.

I am not trying to demonize an entire movement I clearly said "-The large majority of people advocating "women empowerment" are advocating radical ideology that is not equality.
-Yes, that may not be feminism in its true form, but they believe it is equality. The large majority of "feminist" I heard of supports this idealogy." Did you miss that?

you didn't cite any feminists promoting this view, not even fringe. the article clearly states that the author of that book is afraid that might happen, but doesn't cite a single feminist demand for that.

this is speculation and not a valid reason to demean an entire movement.

This is a site stating feminist want to lower the standards. I will try to find a poll on what the majority if feminist believe later.

3 years, 5 months ago

women want to have access to serve our country in the front lines. but please cite where the main stream of feminism wants to LOWER standards.

3 years, 5 months ago

-The large majority of people advocating "women empowerment" are advocating radical ideology that is not equality.
-Yes, that may not be feminism in its true form, but they believe it is equality. The large majority of "feminist" I heard of supports this idealogy.
-No need to get rude.

3 years, 5 months ago

-Most feminist believe instituting these beliefs will contribute to equality.
-They believe lowering the minimum standards to enter the military is equality so more women can join. Feminist argue for this all the time. I can go on and on.
Yes, there are some feminist who do not
-I know what the definition of a feminist is. The large majority of people who are fighting for equality among gender are promoting radical ideals that are not equality at all. That is what I am saying. Give me a name of a big feminist besides HRC, and I will show you what radical ideals they hold. Or, better yet. Give me an organization of any womens right group and I will show you what I mean.

3 years, 5 months ago

the definition of feminism is people who advocate for the equality of men and women. that is exactly what it means.

your inability to use words correctly or to do a 2 second Google search disturbs me.

if a person doesn't advocate for equality then they are not actually a feminist, they only pretend to be. just like Kim jong un is not a democratic leader, he only pretends to be.

I wasn't aware all feminists follow some sort of dogmatic view of uniform ideals. what feminists support varys and I'd like to hear what disturbing things about feminism exist, while sticking to the main stream and not some fringe angry biker chick making YouTube videos.

3 years, 5 months ago

Your lack of knowledge on what feminist actually support and what they find as equality disturbs me.

3 years, 5 months ago

your own argument shows that you don't understand the issue. you say feminism is out of control and then don't actually describe feminists. a feminist advocates for equality between men and women, and no that doesn't exist yet. if they are advocating something other than that then they aren't a feminist.

north Korea named itself the Democratic people's republic of Korea. it is neither democratic or a republic. just because someone calls themselves something doesn't mean that's what they are.

3 years, 5 months ago

-Feminist are out of control now. Women have the same oppurtunities as men. There are more women in college than men, and we talk about discrimination?
-Beyonce and Kim all complain about how women are judged on their looks, but they dress in these half naked clothes wanting to be judged on them. They complain how women look in comics and TV, but they don't care when men have to have abs and a good looking face.
-This women empowerment issue out of control, especially when we a talking about lowering the standards to join the military so more women would be eligible. Feminazis are crazy.
