I would rather live in a dangerous Republic, Thomas Jefferson once said "I prefer a dangerous freedom over a peaceful slavery." Sorry, neither of your choices lol

frankly I wouldn't want to live in either one. Putin and his oligarch cronies bleed billions from the government. they control virtually all the media in the country. and speaking about about anything they don't want you to can get you harassed, imprisoned or killed.

India, I frankly don't know much about. but there does seem to be more freedom. although if you eat beef gangs of Hindus will literally kill you.

depends....what kind of dictator? all the ones we get don't usually play nice. though in theory it could work.

okay,

Russia and India

remember, Russia has a HDI of 79, 80 being developed.

India, a democratic country, has a hdi of 65.

Your comparison seems flawed.

1) Ethiopia has an authoritarian regime. they rank in the bottom 3rd of countries rated by how democratic they are.

2) Chinese "benevolent dictatorship" has a history of horrible abuse. Google the great leap forward for an example. the glorious leader killed 10s of millions of his own people.

there is no such thing as a benevolent dictator. and I am not aware of any extremely poor, free, democratic societies.

i mean that the dictator is

1) Nice man

2) Working for the better future of the country

3) Making people's standard of living better day by day

He is nice in All aspects until you raise voice against him.

so basically it's Vladimir Putin? if you support him he wants to give you hugs, if you don't you mysteriously die in tragic circumstances? and his cronies all steal billions from the public coffers.

He treats everyone with love except for oppositions.

this question depends ALOT on what kind of dictator it is, and how he treats his people.
