I believe people should thrive for perfection, but not depend on it. Perfection is not achievable, but people should always thrive to be better. But all people can obtain satisfaction, if they know where to find it, and everyone should be content with that. so technically, i little of both is good

I think there needs to be a balance between the two, but satisfaction is the more important.

We should always try for perfection, but if things need to be perfect for you to be happy you will never be happy. Being satisfied with what you have is better than always grasping for a little but more and feeling unhappy as you compare yourself to those with more.

At the same time if you are satisfied with not doing well, you will never improve.
