Even if you were right about us running out of resources soon, which I don't think is going to happen all that soon, a world war is still unlikely. There is no one strong enough to take on NATO. Not even close. The only way someone else could potentially beat NATO is with use of nuclear weapons on a large scale. The use of these weapons is self defeating as it would destroy the resources they are after. At the very least it would irradiate them making it impossible to use them.
Nuclear weapons are just as much a deterrent today as they have been since the 50s when the cold war began. There is a reason they have never been used on people since WW II.
Russia is the largest nation on earth. they have more resources than anyone else. China and the west have the money and power to exploit the rest of the world without a war. No one is in a hurry to fight.
I think that ww3 can be because now in our the world the recorces start to finish and i think it would be criz
America has a massively superior air force and navy to Russia. While it is true that Russia has a larger standing army, they have a much smaller pool of available man power. America has also stock piled massive amounts of armaments (primarily for political reasons) allowing for a rapid increase in the size of the American army. Plus there is all the NATO allies. when you include their militaries as well Russia wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell. Putin isn't stupid. He will keep playing his games trying to increase his power and prestige but I would say a direct war between the US and Russia is extremely unlikely.
Thought I agree it is very unlikely, I believe the post was over the tension between US and Russia die to the conflict in Ukraine and Russian posturing over the western response.
It seems very unlikely. I'm not sure who you think America would be fighting. Russia isn't nearly strong enough and China holds all Americans debt so they don't have to fight.
