"Her pupils were minute. Smallest I've ever seen another humans. I don't hesitate. Bang! Bang! Bang! She lay motionless beside the desk. A rich color of red seeps from behind her face and chest. I wanted to see my reflection. So badly. Who am I? Shall I see me face ever again, or am I doomed to be forgotten? The two seconds of standing seemed like an eternity. Quick, turn around. Bang bang. Someone else, a Boy, lay face first on the floor. He shifted side to side in pain, I wanted more. I leave him. Down the hall I go. The halls are empty. What is this...Why? The intercom sounds, giving way to a frantic, nearly weeping voice. "There is a shooter in the school! Oh my god!" Yes, it was the boy I saw earlier, the one who I shot. I should've finished the JOB! No. Don't worry about it. Go to another room. Ah, here. 30 people crowded in a room. Panicking, tripping over eachother. Their animalistic will to survive infatuated me. I loved it. It is short lived. I grow disgusted. Animals is what they are. They are animals. I reach out. Easy does it. The metal elongated handle of the door begins to rotate downwards with a reassuring click. Somebody forgot to lock their door. A raging flurry of gunfire. Some stood in horror, some ran into walls and tripped over desks, others lay motionless. Change your magazine. Eject mag. Reach into vest. Grab a new one. Smash it into the gun. Charge the handle just in time to take down a few more. Stop. My gas bombs. I want to use them. I leave the room. Next room. No one. They were hiding. I knew it. I could hear their soft wimpering voices. They were soothing. It didn't take even one attempt to realize the door was locked. My vision goes red. I feel a monster unleashing withing me. Am I possessed? I am gifted with incredible strength. I fire at the door knob. A sharp ricochet hurts my ears. The door slides right open, as if a supernatural force was guiding me, As if I was telepathically interacting with my surroundings. I slip a gas bomb out of my vest. "Clank!" It lands on the floor near the hiding spot of all the students. The frantically scream at the sight of my face. What had terrified them so much about me? I am a nice guy. It was a repetitive occurrence throughout my life. I couldn't help but notice my reflection in the broken glass of the small window on the classroom door. Who..Am..I?

i dont understand why do people use cocaine?

2 years, 6 months ago

Just like cocaine is still widely used in the US even though it is illegal

2 years, 6 months ago

If you make laws they won't be broken. Just like kids don't cheat on test. Just like terrorist don't infiltrate a country and cause mass murders. Just like chickens fly because they wings.

"Since it doesn't happen if you take the proper precautions" What's that? going to lock everyone in their house each day?

i never faced such an situation, but i would like to. i study in a school called DPS. which is one of the most reputed schools in India. only rich can afford it. so i doubt such incidents can occur but still if someone enters my classroom and suppose i am sitting in the middle row, i will firstly duck and cover beneath the table. then i will take out my geometry box and take out my compass. if the gunner open fires upon us, i will throw the compass aiming is leg thus injuring him. then he crouches down with pain. i will swiftly run towards him kick in his @$$ and take the gun and shoot him.

"I tossed the AR-15 into the back of a car. Such a surreal moment. I had gotten past the twisted reality of my future action. Why...Why had I made up my mind to do this. It all seemed a big plan. Something that needed to be done, a call from God himself. A deep breath. A sigh. I check debate wars one last time. I allow my head to rest on my magazine-filled vest. The smell of metal and fabric, the smell of fear. "Why?" I muttered. The car began to move. I steered, as though I was just along for the ride. my destination is near. The car stops. I freeze. Open the trunk. The gun feels so light. I feel a rush of butterflies in my stomach, I know it's adrenalin. I've felt it all too often. A gas mask slid over my face. I felt safe in there. The sweat cools my warm flesh underneath the protective vest. I cringed in fear and anger. I walk with pride and confidence. The doors swing wide open, a young child wide-eyed in front of me. He screams. A woman behind a desk looks horrified, rolling up into a ball on the floor. The world faded away. Time had stopped. My lips curled like that of a snake, my eyes wide, my vein pulsating, my breathing heavy, my grip tight, my head spinning. I snap out of it. I'm a man on a mission. I walk side to side in a very aggressive manner toward the woman, raising my gun ever so slowly. I scream at the top of my lungs.." Continue the story!!!

I would, hope at least 3 of my friends charge the guy. and hope it's only 1 guy.

I had this conversation with one if my friends. "jump out the window and leave" was the answer. I would agree, but I don't want to leave my friends behind, most likely (from what I've seen in movies) the shooter will kill of someone escapes to ensure nobody makes a run for it.

"this question is very much like the one about what an aborted fetus would say. it is designed to draw an emotional response to force people into agreeing with you. the best way to save lives in this case is to have them never be in danger."

killing is very dangerous, don't kill the fetus, won't have the problem. see what I'm doing? I'm doing the same thing as you.

Dramatic as always, but here's the thing, that was a lot of time. You know what else is? Police response time? You know what isn't? Bombs. Poison gas. Mix chlorine and bleach by the vents and there isn't much room for a class to go. The one up doesn't stop at guns, and these attacks are prepared, premeditated. There is an argument on gun control laws and there effectiveness, but that shouldn't be for this thread. Imagine you're that 1%, the thing that shouldn't happen. Don't worry about how impossible it is and think about how ridiculous it should get. Rodeo shootout is kind of a cool fantasy, regardless if the idea gunowners can't tell a stapped up kid with several different weapons isn't prepared enough. But if a gun fantasy isn't your thing, try the martial arts one, several feet isn't a bad starting point actually pretty good. I tried the "one of us" route as an exercise, and it want too bad. After all, gunmen aren't invincible. I'm not afraid of an individual with a gun so much as the individual, I don't think anyone else should be too. Be ridiculous. Give in to peer pressure.

The Canadian thing, where I close my eyes and shout "you're not real!"

Just kidding, of course there's a lot Y differences in the countries than gun control that actually allow gun control to be an effective plan for Canada, but not the US. In the US, I would hope my plan isn't to wait for the police, that does take too long. Is there a window? GTFO (no, not a command, but a way of life). Push a table against the door? Hope there's enough time? Someone coming in? If you are close enough to the door, it is within arm's reach and a struggle could ensue, certainly a whole class wouldn't agree to try an attack but if it were a handful, they'd be remembered as heroes.

Was there a way to stop this crime before it happened? Some say yes, others say no, I see a gun, if there's a law it's just for show. I mean, yeah of course it will be a minor smudge on this guy's possibly blood stained rampage, it could be an officer, but who's believe that? It might help if someone else had an equalizer, like maybe another gun or a Taser, but circumstances suggest that it doesn't work out that way. Kind of unfair, can't promise action with the fear of death, but if that doesn't get you moving nothing will. Either in the single command do nothing or do anything only one has depth to discuss... damn I kind of wish there was a way to lock him out. It's getting louder, that creak, hopefully the lights aren't off and we're sitting in our own piss. Who'd believe an announcement to the teachers would have no teachers in the building. The off lights are just signals of rooms that haven't been hit yet.

That smell, it's not quite like barbecue, it's more of a copper on the flame sort of smell, the weird tinge of iron mixed in ticking the back of my throat. Yep, the hall outside doesn't have strolling students studying sociology, something sinful, sickening, seriously... suck it up, it doesn't get more intimate than this.

The light expanded like a wedge of cheesecake late at night, heh, cheesecake, a strange craving to think about right as things are getting heated. In fact, I knew a guy who dumped his cheesecake into a tempura-

Now! Under the armpi-

...That sucks. Right in the necessaries too. Okay. Time to flail. Magnificently. Over the eyebally. Maybe it'll be too hard for him to wipe off. Oh, someone else got him. That's cool. Just wait a bit longer for the cops, compadre. I'll keep an eye on this guy, just prop my head up....

this question is very much like the one about what an aborted fetus would say. it is designed to draw an emotional response to force people into agreeing with you. the best way to save lives in this case is to have them never be in danger.

2 years, 6 months ago

since this doesn't happen if you take the proper precautions then why would I enter into your emotional argument trap? if you take the proper precautions this will stop happening and you won't have to make these kinds of choices. that is obviously the best outcome.

great job answering the question historybuff.

I'm from Canada. because of gun controls this is much, much less likely. so very few Canadians will ever have to live through this scenario. sadly Americans go through this all the time.
