The truth could make you free, or the truth could become a stigma that stays with you for the rest of your life. Ever seen the movie Oldboy? Not the remake, I haven't seen it, but the Korean thriller about a man locked in a hotel room for fifteen years. At the end everything is revealed. Had he ignored the truth or simply not searched for it, he would have been ignorant, and ignorance is not only bliss, but he could have moved on with his life. Spoilers are not my thing, so I wouldn't say, but the truth would be something that either you learn to deal with (no promises that dealing won't change who you are or force you to become so much less than you are) it, or it makes quick work of you.
How is this a debatable topic?
